Virtualization Specialist

This role involves the administration and management of Citrix Desktop Virtualization environment. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our virtualized desktops and applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage Citrix XenApp and Xendesktop environments.
  • Work closely with L2 teams to resolve major incidents and implement permanent fixes.
  • Document Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) of major incidents.
  • Develop Plans of Action (POA) and implement major changes to the infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with OEMs during major incidents, share relevant logs, and implement solutions provided by OEMs.
Key Skills:
  • Experience in Citrix Desktop Virtualization.
  • Proficiency in Citrix XenApp & Xendesktop, XenServer / ESXi / HyperV / Nutanix.
  • Knowledge of Provisioning Services (PVS), Machine Creation Services (MCS), Streaming Files (SF), and License Servers.
  • Desktop & Server Virtualization expertise.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, and User Management.
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure with Citrix Desktop Virtualization.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Speak, Read, Write).
  • Report Writing.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with internal/external clients and handle escalations.
  • Willingness to Continuously Learn.
  • Team Player and People Management.
Education:
  • Any Graduate, preferably from an IT background.
  • Preferably MCP Certified.
