Process R & D Specialist Role

We are seeking an expert in process research and development to join our team as a Process R & D Specialist.


About the Job

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Process R & D Specialist to contribute to designing synthetic routes, optimizing processes, and shaping new chemical entity (NCE) development pathways. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in chemical process development, retrosynthetic pathway design, reaction mechanisms, impurity profiling, and technical documentation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Route Design & Scouting: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews, propose retrosynthetic pathways, and identify innovative synthetic routes.
  • Process Feasibility: Execute laboratory experiments with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and scalability.
  • Optimization & Troubleshooting: Investigate impurities, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and refine processes for efficiency.
  • Analytical Expertise: Interpret complex data from NMR, LCMS, HPLC, and thermal analysis to support decision-making.
  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and generate clear technical reports.
  • Collaboration & Customer Interface: Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and external collaborators.

Qualifications & Skills

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (Post-Doctoral experience preferred)
  • At least 25 years of experience in process R & D, synthetic route design, route scouting, retrosynthesis, or high-throughput experimentation
  • Strong understanding of chemical process development and retrosynthetic pathway design
  • Expertise in reaction mechanisms and impurity profiling
  • Hands-on experience in technical documentation and reporting
  • Familiarity with cGLP, cGMP, and regulatory standards
