Lead Data Scientist Position

We are seeking a skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative machine learning and data analytics solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building process automation in our digital map-making processes employing scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning.

You will collaborate with our dedicated team to create cutting-edge technology tools and services that fuel innovation and provide opportunity to improve people's lives.

  • Design and build process automation in HERE Core Map processes employing a scalable Big Data infrastructure and machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.
  • Build and test analytic models to improve internal data-driven processes for map-mapping data decisions and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert in data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.
  • Function as a predictive modeling or application team lead on Core Map projects.
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • 7+ years related professional experience.
  • Knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis, etc.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis packages and associated scripting languages like Python, R, Matlab, SAS, etc.
  • Programming experience with SQL, shell script, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Development experience with Scala.
  • Development experience with Docker.
  • Development experience with GIS data.
  • Development experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
