Embedded Audio Firmware Lead

We seek an experienced Embedded Audio Firmware Lead to drive the development and optimization of audio codec firmware using Rust programming language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize low-level firmware for audio codecs.
  • Implement firmware modules for audio drivers, signal processing, streaming, and device drivers.
  • Work on audio data paths, DSP integration, and codec algorithms.
  • Collaborate with hardware, DSP, and system teams for platform integration.
  • Perform unit, integration, and regression testing for audio firmware components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-14 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with 3+ years in audio codec domain.
  • Strong expertise in Rust programming for embedded systems, C/C++ for low-level development.
  • In-depth knowledge of audio codecs: AAC, MP3, SBC, Opus, Dolby, FLAC, PCM.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with cross-compilation toolchains, build systems.
  • Knowledge of real-time audio streaming frameworks, audio quality testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams with hardware, software, and QA.

This role requires strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills, as well as hands-on experience with debugging tools like JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers.
