An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned claims professional to join our organization. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in handling legal matters and ensuring seamless operations within the department.
About the Role- Maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including surveyors and counsel, to ensure prompt resolution of claims and disputes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve claims handling processes and procedures, resulting in enhanced efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Head Office Legal Department to provide expert advice on shipping-related issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Acknowledge receipt of new claims within 24 hours and promptly report to the Head Office.
- Conduct thorough investigations into claims and gather relevant documentation to support case arguments.
- Work closely with colleagues to resolve court cases and appeals, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor and report on Indian case law and regulations impacting CMA CGM's scope of activity.
- Minimum graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, or a related field).
- At least 5+ years of experience in the shipping industry, preferably with cargo/marine claims expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and recommend expenses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
