Job Overview

Deliver Business Value through Data Solutions

As a seasoned data architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing large-scale data projects on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). With a strong focus on delivering business value, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions that drive innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Data Architectures: Create end-to-end data and analytics solution architectures from concept to delivery on GCP, ensuring seamless integration of industry-accepted data architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and concepts.
  • Lead Technical Solutions: Drive the design, sizing, provisioning, and setup of GCP environments and related services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage, ensuring efficient resource utilization and effective integration across systems and technologies.
  • Mentor and Guide Teams: Provide mentoring and guidance on GCP-based data architecture to engineering, analytics, and business teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Advise on Emerging Trends: Stay current with industry trends and GCP service evolution, advising on emerging GCP trends and services, and recommending adoption strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple data and analytics solutions on GCP, with hands-on experience with data ingestion, processing, and orchestration tools such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Data Fusion.
  • Deep Domain Knowledge: Deep expertise with GCP data warehousing and analytics services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Looker, with familiarity with Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and Data products, Data Contracts, and experience in data mesh implementation.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide teams, foster a culture of collaboration, and drive business outcomes through technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in data architect role with strong track record of delivering large-scale data projects.
