Job Description

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Environmental Health Safety Management Systems across multiple locations in India. Your primary objective will be to prepare and implement EHS standards, obtain ISO certifications (ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015) in all operations, and promote sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of EHS manual in coordination with unit-level management representatives
  • Developing and monitoring the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conducting regular EHSMS audits
  • Developing safe work procedures for contract workers and ensuring their effective implementation
  • Formulating, implementing, reviewing, and updating the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment Management System to achieve objectives set by the EHS policy
  • Preparing and updating on-site plans, coordinating emergency organizations, conducting mock drills, and rehearsals
  • Managing MIS reporting and enabling EHS Management systems in all manufacturing locations and warehouse operations
  • Coordinating with certification bodies for surveillance audits and re-certification audits
  • Conducting training programs for functional heads regarding EHS Management systems
  • Conducting internal audits periodically in all manufacturing locations
  • Ensuring the status of audit non-conformities and observations conducted by various agencies

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Any Graduate Engineer and Industrial Safety from a reputable institute
  • Lead auditor certification in ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
  • 08-12 years of experience in the field of Environmental Health & Safety from reputable organizations
  • Age between 35-40 years
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi
