Job Title:

Operations Director

 

The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the facility, ensuring compliance with established procedures and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements effective manpower planning strategies to meet load projections and productivity targets.
  • Maintains a high level of facility cleanliness and upkeep, adhering to industry standards.
  • Monitors vehicle connections and availability, ensuring timely unloading/loading of vehicles.
  • Plans ad-hoc vehicle requirements based on load profile and coordinates with fleet management teams.
  • Ensures service levels and performance metrics are met, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Fosters collaboration and communication among commercial, security, fleet, and last mile teams.
  • Drives metrics in inbound operations, outbound operations, floor operations, quality metrics, and first mile metrics.
  • Oversees HR/Employee-related Key Result Areas (KRA's), including diversity hiring, employee morale, and employee safety.
  • Provides guidance and support to team members, focusing on capability building and process improvement opportunities.
  • Implements industry best practices, such as Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma, to enhance shop floor management and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a reputable institution preferred.
  • 1-3 years of post-graduation experience in a related role.
