Release Management Specialist

Job Overview:

This role requires effective communication of project-related tasks, including plans, timelines, and requirements, between different teams.

The Release Manager is tasked to manage a seamless release management lifecycle, which involves scheduling and coordinating releases, and deploying these as per timeline.

  • Automate deployments to Salesforce environments using CI & CD tools.
  • Develop branching strategies and set up CI processes to automate deployments.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for source control operations, including check-ins, merge, and branching strategies.
  • Implement development, testing, automation tools, and infrastructure.
  • Define and manage change control processes for development and release readiness criteria.

Requirements:

  • Scripting and coding knowledge, particularly in Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience with delivery of Salesforce applications and Salesforce release management is highly desirable.

Additionally, the candidate should have a good understanding of data models and be able to develop test data plans.
