Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled professionals for the position of Senior Research Associate in our organization based in a specific location. This role involves close collaboration with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy design.

Main Responsibilities
  • The candidate will conduct thorough applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • They will analyze large datasets using econometric/statistical techniques to gain valuable insights.
  • Drafting clear policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers is a key part of this role.
  • Close engagement with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders is crucial.
  • Contribution to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges is expected.
  • Project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building will also be responsibilities of the candidate.
  • Collaboration with other researchers to ensure high-quality outputs is essential.
Qualification & Experience
  • A Master's degree, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable institution is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia is necessary.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python) is a must.
  • A demonstrated ability to independently manage research projects is vital.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are also required.
  • Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment is essential.
  • Candidates with prior work experience in state-level or applied policy research, especially in Madhya Pradesh, will be given preference.
