Job Opportunity: Database Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned database consultant to develop scalable and secure solutions on Cloud. The ideal candidate will lead delivery teams during client workshops, engage with stakeholders, and design optimal database architectures for performance, scalability, and security.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients to define, design, and implement database solutions using AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and possess hands-on expertise in MS SQL and Oracle environments. Responsibilities include leading client workshops, planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining database environments on Cloud.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead client workshops to gather requirements, design solutions, and define database architecture for Oracle and MS SQL on Cloud.
  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain database environments on Cloud (RDS, EC2, S3).
  • Expertise in Installation & Configuration, Schema handling, User and Security Management, Backup & Restore, and Database Administration for MS SQL & Oracle.
  • Architect-level knowledge of Server Security, DR Replication monitoring/configuration, High Availability (HA), Failover, and Replication.
  • Develop and optimize database structures to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Implement MS SQL & Oracle-related tools; write scripts for automation; perform advanced database performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge in setting up MS SQL & Oracle in HA architecture.
  • Plan and implement backup strategies (including scripting) following best practices.
  • Provide integration support with third-party monitoring systems.
  • Administer Linux and Windows environments for database deployments.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines (AWS EC2) and container technologies (Docker) is a plus.
  • Experience with JDBC connection pools and database integration preferred.
  • Use consultative techniques to engage with clients and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead solutioning for 3-tier architectures and ensure compliance with contractual SLAs.
