
Senior Corporate Compliance Specialist

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in managing technology-based compliance management programs. They will have a strong understanding of corporate compliance frameworks and the ability to advise on their implementation.
About the RoleThis position is a key member of the Legal Department, working closely with highly skilled lawyers to provide strategic legal and compliance solutions to the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide compliance management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Compliance Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive corporate compliance programs, comprising multiple pillars of effective risk management.
- Investigations and Remediations: Have in-depth experience and exposure in handling complex investigations and negotiating remediations.
- Operational Objectives: Achieve corporate compliance operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to the Compliance & Integrity Plan and its reviews, preparing and completing action plans, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing changes.
- Regulatory Regimes: Have exposure and understanding of key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to the organization, including whistleblower regulations, anti-bribery - anti-corruption, anti-trust, confidentiality, and commensurate processes and controls.
- Analytics and Automation: Have exposure to analytics and automation to conduct risk evaluation and mitigation, which would be an added benefit but not a prerequisite.
- Whistleblower Systems and Employee Feedback: Review and improve whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms in close collaboration with HR.
- Trainings and Communications: Plan, organize, and conduct trainings and communications to enhance and grow the compliance program in line with best industry standards of cultural assurance.
- New Regulations and Laws: Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing and analyzing proposed and adopted state legislation and regulations.
- Policies and Procedures: Derive policy administration, trainings, and regular communications.
- Complaints and Investigations: Effectively handle complaints and investigations and remediation process.
- Collaboration: Excellent collaboration with various functions like facilities & infra, government relations, finance & HR, and sales & delivery functions to assist in organizational expansion agenda.
- Public Policy: Advise on public policy, working closely with the Government Relations team.
- Company Positions: Supports company positions by developing company responses and defenses to complaints, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
- Legal Requirements: Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising executive management team on needed actions.
- Complex Business Issues: Demonstrates ability to effectively identify legal solutions to solve complex business issues and advise internal customers with precise and clear counsel.
Qualifications:
- A qualified lawyer with a minimum JD along with relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
- Additional qualifications such as CA/CFA will be preferred.
Required Skills:
- Extensive report development experience and policy and procedure development experience in a multinational environment with cultural and ethnic diversity.
- An interest in using technology for efficient program implementation.
- Analytical skills relating to business processes, business data, and interpersonal relations.
- Experience in public speaking and business presentation.
- Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards, including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls, etc.
- Independent project management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication skills.
- Acceptability to innovative approach.
- Handling change management.
