Job Summary

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our organization as a Staff Engineer, working on high-profile projects in power electronics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop product hardware specifications and requirements in accordance with industry standards.
  2. Conduct comprehensive reviews of hardware design and firmware control, focusing on system integration and performance optimization.
  3. Oversee development processes, ensuring compliance with electrical, environmental, and functional standards.
  4. Perform thorough FMEA analyses to assess reliability and identify potential safety or liability concerns.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to track and coordinate product development milestones.
  6. Manage DFX updates, Engineering Change Notices, and product life cycle management to ensure timely delivery.
  7. Mentor team members to adhere to established technical standards and best practices during product development.
  8. Research new development concepts for future product innovation and scalability.
  9. Identify cost-effective technological alternatives for scaling up products.
  10. Validate design concepts through circuit simulations and prototyping to ensure feasibility.
  11. Prepare detailed documentation, including bills of materials, circuit diagrams, simulations, and design-related documents.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Master's degree in Power Electronics or related field, with 8-12 years of experience.
  2. Strong understanding of closed-loop control for power converters and compensator design principles.
  3. Experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices, specifically power converter designs over 100kVA and medium voltage applications.
  4. Solid technical knowledge, competence, and system-level design experience.
  5. Proven track record of managing multiple power electronics projects involving analog and digital electronics as well as control circuitry.
  6. Experience in EMI filter design and product qualification/compliance testing.
  7. Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like SIMULINK.
  8. Skills in derating, FMEA, and reliability analysis.
  9. Excellent circuit debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
  10. Experience in writing technical documents, including hardware requirements, product design specifications, test specifications, and board-level design details.
  11. Strong knowledge of component selection and system integration.
  12. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  13. Experience mentoring small teams with strong decision-making capabilities and agile product development model.
