Job Title: Solicitor - Construction Law

We are seeking a skilled Solicitor to join our construction law team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing legal advice and ensuring that our construction projects comply with local and national laws and regulations.

The Solicitor will be responsible for supporting senior legal advisors in contract drafting, dispute resolution, and risk management across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts, subcontracts, and agreements with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring that all construction activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements under the guidance of senior legal advisors.
  • Helping to identify potential legal risks in construction projects and collaborating with the legal team to mitigate these risks.
  • Supporting the handling of legal disputes and claims related to contracts, construction delays, or defects by collecting information and assisting in legal proceedings.
  • Aiding in the preparation and submission of documents to secure permits and licenses for construction projects.
  • Tracking contractual obligations and alerting the team to potential issues in compliance or breaches.
  • Preparing and organizing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and permits under the supervision of senior legal staff.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) is required.
  • 0-2 years of legal experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and legal compliance is an advantage.

Skills:
  • Basic Contract Law: Understanding of construction contracts, subcontracts, and legal obligations.
  • Legal Research: Ability to conduct thorough research on laws and regulations affecting construction projects.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing legal documents and communicating with the team.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing legal paperwork and compliance matters.
  • Negotiation Support: Some experience assisting in negotiations related to contracts and agreements is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of RERA guidelines.
  • Basic understanding of environmental and safety laws in construction.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition laws and property-related documentation is a plus.
