Organic Chemistry Researcher

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in organic chemistry principles and techniques, with hands-on experience in designing and executing synthetic routes to target compounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize organic synthesis routes to improve efficiency and yield.
  • Purify and characterize organic molecules using various analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, or related field, or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, or related field is a plus.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
