Project Financial Analyst

Job Description:

As a seasoned financial analyst, you will play a key role in driving project profitability and ensuring accurate cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost control strategies to ensure alignment with budget targets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track progress and analyze variances between actual and projected costs.
  • Monitor and report on project expenses, including procurement and construction phases.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports analyzing deviations between budgeted and actual costs.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Work closely with project managers to track progress and update percentage-of-completion calculations as per industry standards.
  • Provide actionable insights and reports on cost performance, profit margins, and project cash flow on a regular basis.
  • Contract and Cost Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Validate costs in line with contract terms and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Inventory and Procurement Cost Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize material and service costs.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce inventory levels.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization:
  • Identify potential risks related to project costs, including scope changes, delays, or unexpected expenses.
  • Recommend strategies for cost reduction, such as process improvements or efficiency gains.
Required Skills:
  • Financial Analysis: Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of EPC project lifecycle, cost drivers, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management and accounting software.
