Job Title: Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a seasoned senior backend developer to spearhead the design and development of scalable APIs using Node.js and AWS services. As part of our team, you will be responsible for architecting and building secure and efficient backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and integrating AI tools for automation and performance optimization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js and AWS services.
  • Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Lead infrastructure decisions on AWS, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for improved performance and data integrity.
  • Integrate AI APIs into the backend for moderation, recommendation, and automation workflows.
  • Write clean, modular, well-tested code following modern engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js, Express/NestJS.
  • Proficient in TypeScript, REST API standards, WebSockets, and microservices.
  • Expert knowledge of AWS services: Cognito, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of networking, authentication flows, and cloud security principles.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL solutions like DynamoDB.
  • Ability to design normalized schemas, manage migrations, write optimized queries, and handle large-scale data flows.
