Cyber Threat Investigator Role

The Cyber Threat Investigator will maintain expert knowledge of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Tools, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), forensics and incident response best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Build threat scenarios using threat intelligence and threat models.
  • Prepare and conduct threat-hunting campaigns to check threat scenarios.
  • Research, analyze and correlate a wide range of data sets from any source.
  • Identify emerging and historically unknown threats and provide automated alerts.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to improve security checks and detection performance.
  • Participate in PTXs by monitoring new detection capabilities.
  • Analyze reports, dashboards, metrics for CyberSOC KPIs and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop targeted use cases addressing specific APT behaviors.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of APT TTPs, forensics and incident response best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to research and analyze data sets.
  • Ability to build threat scenarios and conduct threat-hunting campaigns.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings to stakeholders.
