Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced data center mechanical design expert to lead the development of innovative cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal management, HVAC systems, and energy-efficient cooling technologies critical to the operation of large-scale, high-performance data centers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cooling System Design Leadership: Develop and implement effective cooling strategies for hyperscale data centers.
  • Design and optimize cooling infrastructure for data centers to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Carrier Handbooks, IS Standards, Eurovent, AHRI, SMACNA, ASME etc.
  • Select and specify cooling equipment, components, and materials.
  • Buffer tank Calculation & thermal override calculation
  • Co-ordination with vendors for product selection and integration of equipment's in overall Master design
  • Preparation of Heat load calculation, Power Usage Effectiveness Calculations (PUE), Technical specifications, schematics for Tendering
  • Preparation of Detailed Design drawings for Tendering purpose
  • Preparation of BOQ, Make List and co-ordination with Cost Estimation team on cost and work schedule
  • Provide value Engineering inputs towards optimization, reliability, efficient design best practices
  • Use of CFD Tool for validation of proposed design for HVAC system for design sign off
  • Participation in bre-bid meetings and provide resolution to bidder queries
  • Co-ordinate with Project Management Team & vendors for QA / QC requirements
  • Periodic site visits, Factory visits for Acceptance test, witnessing Testing and Commissioning
  • Validating the Test scripts for IST and witnessing the same
  • Quantity certification and validation of all test reports
