Archival Infrastructure Specialist

We seek an experienced Vault Engineer to ensure smooth operation of our Mail and File Archival system.

  • Daily Operations & Monitoring: Perform daily health checks, monitor archival tasks, execute routine tasks, and assign archive access.
  • Maintenance & Issue Resolution: Maintain and back up Vault stores, address compliance tasks, troubleshoot placeholder disconnects, and monitor disk capacity utilization.
  • Implementation & Upgrades: Install and configure Mail & File Archival servers, submit technical plans, perform Enterprise Vault version upgrades, and apply service packs and patches.
  • Disaster Recovery & Compliance: Conduct EV DR drills, support compliance-related requests, and provide EV support during SQL, OneFS, and VMware ESXi upgrades.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Veritas Enterprise Vault (Mail, File, and SMTP journaling).
  • In-depth knowledge of EV architecture, indexing, archival processes, and compliance search functions.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting archival issues, indexing errors, and retrieval failures.
  • Experience in storage integration (Isilon, NetApp) and adding LUNs for archival storage.
  • Familiarity with DR drills and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Experience in applying patches, service packs, and version upgrades in EV environments.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Exchange/Outlook integration with EV.
