Cloud Systems Administrator Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to support, maintain and optimize our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Azure Cloud Management:
    • Deploy, configure and manage virtual machines, storage, networking and other Azure services.
    • Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory (AAD) and related identity management solutions.
    • Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization and costs.
  • Office 365 Administration:
    • Manage and support Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
    • Administer user accounts, licenses and permissions within Office 365, ensuring compliance and security.
    • Troubleshoot issues and provide support for Office 365 services across the organization.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement security best practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), data loss prevention (DLP) and access controls.
    • Monitor for potential security threats and take action to resolve vulnerabilities.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company security policies.
  • Automation & Optimization:
    • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell) for automated cloud and Office 365 administration tasks.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automation to increase efficiency.
  • Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery:
    • Implement and maintain backup, recovery and disaster recovery plans for critical cloud services.
    • Regularly test and update recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations and procedures.
    • Provide guidance and training to other IT staff on cloud administration best practices.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with Azure cloud services, Office 365 administration and related Microsoft tools.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting for cloud automation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
