Job Description

Our team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop high-quality assessment items for a certification course in Generative AI Foundations.

The SME will collaborate with a cross-functional team to create clear, standards-aligned assessment items that help students master key generative AI concepts and practices.

An ideal candidate should possess expertise in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, and Ethical AI Use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate, relevant, and high-quality assessment items aligned with the certification's learning objectives.
  • Ensure assessment items reflect the appropriate Bloom's Taxonomy level and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) standards.
  • Ensure questions, examples, and scenarios directly support the stated learning objectives.
  • Suggest revisions to improve clarity, engagement, and instructional validity.
  • Validate terminology, context, and problem-solving tasks reflect authentic AI use cases and industry practices.
  • Provide realistic workplace and industry scenarios to support applied learning and skill transfer.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful.
  • Revise content based on feedback from the team.
  • Work as a productive team member as part of a global, cross-functional team.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI tools, and applications.
  • Prior experience in assessment design, test development, or curriculum development.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner for diverse learners.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Education.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI platforms and tools.
  • Experience working within the education sector or with adult/workforce training, particularly in curriculum design or content review.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles, Bloom's Taxonomy, and competency-based assessments.
  • Certification in Generative AI Foundations or another AI-related credential.
