Project Leadership Position

Our organization seeks a seasoned Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to oversee complex projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree in Project Management or a related field being desirable.

A minimum of 9-12 years of experience in managing Irrigation/Water Supply projects is essential.

  1. The selected individual must have executed at least one project valued at over 500 crores.
  2. He/she should be capable of commanding the entire project and possess in-depth knowledge of tender clauses, billing, departmental correspondence, and claims.
  3. Effective issue resolution skills, including Forest Permissions, Highway Permissions, and Local Bodies Permissions, are required.
  4. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and legal regulations is essential.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary for success in this role.
  6. The chosen candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  7. They will create detailed project plans, considering timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
  8. Progress monitoring and control will be key responsibilities, with adjustments made as needed to meet objectives.
  9. A collaborative working environment will be fostered by the successful candidate.
  10. Budget preparation, management, and cost control will be crucial aspects of the position.
  11. Approval of project expenditures will require careful consideration of financial implications.
  12. Quality control measures, safety rules, and regulations will be diligently implemented.
  13. Negotiation with contractors, suppliers, and other vendors will be an ongoing requirement.
  14. Resource planning, manpower allocation, and material procurement will be critical functions.
  15. Understanding of accounting principles, financial aspects, risk management, and strategic decisions will be necessary for success.
