Terraform Engineer

Job Summary:

Review and optimize Terraform codebases for SD-WAN deployments in a multi-data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess configuration templates, policies, automation workflows, and state management practices to ensure seamless integration.
  • Deliver a comprehensive review report with actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct remote knowledge transfer sessions to enhance the technical capabilities of the client's team.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on expertise with Terraform (modules, variables, templates, IaC workflows) is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of SD-WAN components (vManage, vSmart, vBond, device templates, policies) is crucial.
  • Ability to evaluate and optimize state management strategies (remote backends, locking, workspaces) is vital.
  • Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems is necessary.
  • Familiarity with network automation best practices and SD-WAN deployment models is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and client interaction are essential.
Experience:
  • 7+ years in Infrastructure Automation or Network Automation engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
  • Practical experience with SD-WAN automation, templates, and policies is essential.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise-scale multi-site WAN deployments is desirable.
