Senior Physical Design Lead Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned physical design lead to spearhead the development of complex physical designs for cutting-edge projects. As a senior leader in this role, you will oversee the entire design process, from floor planning to signoff DRC/LVS closure.

  • The ideal candidate will possess 8+ years of experience in physical design, with expertise in Full chip Pn R (timing/congestion/CTS issues), IO ring, package support, and multi-voltage design.
  • In-depth understanding of synthesis, place & route, CTS, timing convergence, IR/EM checks, and signoff DRC/LVS closure is essential.
  • This position requires strong leadership skills, as you will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of physical design, including floor planning, place and route, Clock Tree Synthesis, Clock Distribution, extraction, Timing closure, Power and Signal Integrity Analysis, Physical Verification, and DFM.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs, leveraging technical expertise to drive design decisions and improve design quality.
  • Additionally, you will develop and implement best practices for physical design, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentoring junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge in physical design is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Familiarity with DRC, LVS, ERC, and PERC rule files for lower tech node layout verification and experience in working on lower tech nodes is desirable.
