Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Physical Design Expert to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing physical designs for advanced technology nodes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end physical design flow from RTL to GDSII at 7nm, 5nm, or lower process nodes.
  • Floorplanning and Partitioning: Optimize chip area, power, and performance by applying industry-standard tools.
  • Placement and Clock Tree Synthesis: Implement standard cell placement, buffer insertion, and clock tree synthesis using expert techniques.
  • Routing and Timing Closure: Work on congestion analysis, RC extraction, and static timing analysis (STA) to ensure design integrity.
  • Power Optimization: Implement low-power techniques such as clock gating, power gating, and multi-voltage domains.
  • Physical Verification: Perform DRC, LVS, and Antenna checks using industry-leading tools.
  • Sign-off Analysis: Conduct IR drop, Electromigration (EM), and Signal Integrity (SI) analysis to guarantee design quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design convergence.
Requirements
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in Physical Design and Implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of EDA tools (Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler, Cadence Innovus, or Mentor Olympus).
  • Expertise in floorplanning, power planning, placement, routing, and timing closure.
  • Hands-on experience in physical verification tools (Calibre, PVS, or Pegasus).
  • Good understanding of design constraints, clock tree optimization, IR drop, and power integrity.
