Job Description

We are seeking a talented CPU Power Management Firmware Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing firmware solutions that enable optimal performance and power efficiency in our cutting-edge CPUs.

About the Role
  • Firmware Design and Implementation: Drive the design, development, and verification of firmware solutions in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other teams to define CPU Performance Management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.
  • Open Source Community Engagement: Engage actively with open source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
  • Hiring and Skills Development: Assist in identifying skills requirements and hiring engineers, collaborating with other teams on platform bring-up/debug/diags, firmware lifecycle, etc.
Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: BS/BEng in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development
  • Technical Skills: Proficient writing and debugging C and assembly, driver development experience in RTOS or OS Kernel environments, demonstrated development experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS or FreeRTOS
  • Architecture Experience: Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture; development experience for an ARMV8 platform is a plus
