About the Role

As a seasoned embedded firmware developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating firmware that supports next-generation data acceleration technologies. Your expertise in low-level firmware development, RTOS environments, and hardware-software system integration will be invaluable to our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C programming, proficiency in C++ or Python, and hands-on experience with end-to-end firmware development. A comprehensive understanding of device drivers, embedded systems, and software engineering practices is also essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of firmware for AMD proprietary and industry-standard technologies such as PCIe and SDXI.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated firmware solutions.
  3. Develop low-level firmware for embedded systems within an RTOS environment.
  4. Participate in pre-silicon validation activities, including co-simulation and emulation at the IP and SOC levels.
  5. Support post-silicon enablement and production cycle efforts.
Requirements
  1. 7+ years of total experience with expertise in C programming and proficiency in C++ or Python.
  2. Hands-on experience with end-to-end firmware development, including pre-silicon, post-silicon, and production stages.
  3. Demonstrated skills in firmware lab debugging, triaging, and bug-fix implementation, along with familiarity with Zephyr RTOS.
  4. Comfortable working in a Linux build environment and experienced with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  5. Significant experience in device driver or embedded firmware development and a comprehensive understanding of hardware and software system integration.
  6. Well-versed in software engineering practices, capable of working independently under tight deadlines, and possessing excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, or Computer Science preferred.
