Job Opportunity:

A key function of an Accounts Receivable Specialist is to oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients. They work closely with the Accounting Department and external agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for collecting outstanding debts.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine the appropriate actions.
  • Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve issues or disputes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on collections.
  • Implement credit policies and procedures to minimize late payments or non-payment.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for complex cases.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with data analysis and trend assessment.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of laws governing debt collection practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professionalism.
