Technical Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our rapidly growing business. This individual will be responsible for delivering superior customer experiences through phone and web-based systems for customers across SAARC, ME, and EMEA regions.

The selected candidate will thoroughly analyze and investigate customers' reported problems, providing turnkey solutions through debugging, packet captures, and traffic flow analysis. Additionally, they will report and follow up with engineering and development to address and resolve product issues.

This position requires owning and managing technical cases, recommending corrective actions based on troubleshooting and analysis. The ideal candidate will also run real-time phone or remote access sessions with customers, develop core competency on Fortinet's product line and technologies, and maintain a strong understanding of data networking protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via phone and web-based systems for customers in SAARC, ME, and EMEA regions.
  • Thoroughly analyze and investigate customers' reported problems and provide turnkey solutions through debugging, packet captures, and traffic flow analysis.
  • Report and follow up with engineering and development to address and resolve product issues.
  • Own and manage technical cases, recommending corrective actions based on troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Run real-time phone or remote access sessions with customers.
  • Develop core competency on Fortinet's product line and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) or CCNA/CCNP certification.
  • Good understanding of data networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in various OSI layer protocols.
  • Hands-on experience in IPsec, SSL, SD-WAN, authentication, WAF, VoIP, hardware redundancy, and dynamic routing protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Linux OS, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in Python or similar languages is an added advantage.
  • Exemplary communication skills, including oral and written communication.
  • At least 6 years of experience in computer networking or security industry.
