About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee our sports department at Good Shepherd International School in Ooty. As the Head of Department, you will be responsible for implementing high standards in sports training and physical education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Department Management: Lead the Sports and Physical Education department, overseeing curriculum implementation and promoting excellence in sports training and physical education.
  • Sports Program Development: Manage and enhance a wide range of sports activities, including swimming, golf, squash, badminton, shooting, sports wall climbing, basketball, cricket, and equestrian sports.
  • Performance Analysis and Monitoring: Analyze students' performance, track progress, and design targeted interventions to improve skills and competencies.
  • Event Management and Competitions: Organize and oversee sports events, tournaments, and inter-school competitions, promoting student participation and engagement.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sports management and physical education, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in handling multiple sports activities and working with international curricula (IB, IGCSE, ICSE).
  • Strong knowledge of sports training methodologies, fitness assessments, and performance enhancement techniques.
