Job Title: Land and Approvals Manager

We are seeking a proactive professional to support land acquisition and site development for our renewable energy projects.

This role involves conducting land surveys, verifying locations, performing due diligence, resolving right-of-way issues, and liaising with communities and government authorities. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage and manage external stakeholders effectively.

About the Role:

  • Covering all aspects of land management from concept to commissioning for project sites
  • Coordinating with developers for land acquisition
  • Liaising on ROW (Right of Way) issues at all levels
  • Managing land-related data and ensuring timely release of lease rent until land is handed over to operations
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements related to land
  • Resolving land-related issues for operational sites across the company
  • Engaging with external legal counsel on TSR and other legal issues
  • Conducting site surveys and finalizing land for wind and solar projects
  • Handling ROW/RoU for pathways and all associated infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in managing complex land-related matters
  2. Strong analytical and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  4. Strategic planning and decision-making skills to ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in any discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a relevant land-related role
  • Prior experience working in North Karnataka and fluency in Kannada required
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management
