About the Role:

As a key technical leader in the Data Warehouse team, you will be relied on to drive architecture and inspire innovation.

  • Drive a team of Senior Engineers

You will interact directly with clients for requirement gathering, build a holistic roadmap, identify risks, and have mitigation strategies.

You'll focus on building high-quality features and delivering them to a high standard, while also providing good quality readable business documentation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in software development, data structures/algorithms, and backend engineering, with a focus on cloud-native data-intensive applications and modern data warehouses.

  • 10 + years of experience in data engineering with 4+ years leading team
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience on building cloud native data intensive applications

You'll work with a range of technologies, including Amazon Web Services, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Spark, and GitHub Actions.

  • Experience on Data Warehouse design and development per the business nature using any of the modern data warehouses
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience of building and maintaining Spark applications

This role requires strong communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, particularly during code reviews.
