Key Job Function

The Principal Legal Counsel plays a pivotal role in the organization's legal department, working closely with highly skilled professionals to provide top-notch legal and compliance solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement an enterprise-wide compliance management program globally, encompassing seven pillars of efficient corporate compliance.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on various issues, negotiate remediations, and achieve corporate compliance objectives.
  • Contribute valuable insights and recommendations to Compliance & Integrity Plans and reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with key compliance regimes applicable to the organization, including Whistleblower Regulations, Anti-Bribery - Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Confidentiality, and related processes and controls.
  • Enhance whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms through collaboration with HR.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct trainings and communications to boost the whistleblower program.
  • Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing proposed and adopted legislation.
  • Develop policy administration, trainings, and regular communications.
  • Effectively handle complaints, investigations, and remediation processes.
  • Collaborate with functions like facilities, infrastructure, government relations, finance, HR, and sales to support the organization's expansion agenda.
  • Provide expert advice on public policy, working closely with the Government Relations team.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a JD, relevant experience as compliance counsel, and additional qualifications such as CA/CFA. Essential skills include extensive report development, policy and procedure development, analytical skills, public speaking, knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards, independent project management, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

A qualified lawyer with:

  • A minimum JD degree
  • Relevant experience as compliance counsel
  • Additional qualifications such as CA/CFA preferred
