Job Title: Key Account Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with distributors to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets for each distributor in the assigned region.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and optimize market coverage.

  • Ensure product availability at all relevant channels through efficient distribution networks and effective communication with distributors.

  • Manage and develop individual distributors to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively in a profitable manner.

  • Develop strong business relationships with distributors, trade partners, and key accounts in their territories to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.

  • Monitor and minimize the level of bad goods returns by ensuring accurate inventory management and timely delivery from distributors to consumers.

  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to distributors on their performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies and optimize results.

  • Contribute to the development of sales plans, forecasts, and business cases to support strategic decisions and resource allocation.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay informed about best practices and share knowledge with peers.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in sales or account management with a strong understanding of FMCG principles.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and other stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in MS Office and other software applications relevant to sales and account management.
