Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled Furniture Designer to conceptualize innovative solid wood products that meet our manufacturing strengths and global market demands.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching customer preferences, analyzing international trends, and developing original design concepts in solid wood. They will work closely with our design team to create production-ready drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar CAD tools.

In this role, you will collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections, working with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity. You will also incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements into your designs.

Additionally, you will develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers, showcasing your ability to effectively communicate design ideas and strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood.
  • Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery.
  • Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
