Trade Finance Specialist

Our team is seeking a seasoned Trade Finance Specialist to leverage their expertise in international trade finance operations, compliance, and consulting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with 5-10 years of experience in the field to take on a challenging role that requires strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, regulations, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Act as a domain expert in trade finance, ensuring alignment with banking practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and validate workflows for trade finance instruments (LCs, Bills of Exchange, Invoices, Bills of Lading, Import/Export documentation).
  • Provide compliance and regulatory inputs, including UCP 600, ISBP, FEMA, AML, KYC, OFAC, and ICC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and client teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Validate AI/ML-driven outputs such as OCR accuracy, anomaly detection, and classification of trade documents.
  • Support VAPT, audit, and risk assessments from a trade finance domain perspective.
  • Prepare use-case scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria for new product features.
  • Assist in client onboarding discussions, demos, and training sessions.
  • Advise on business continuity requirements for trade finance operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in trade finance operations, compliance, or consulting (banking/financial institution background preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade finance instruments (LC, BG, invoice financing, supply chain finance).
  • Strong understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, AML/KYC, FEMA regulations, and SWIFT messaging standards.
  • Experience working with core banking/trade finance platforms (e.g., Finacle Trade, EximBills, TI Plus).
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business teams and technical developers.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience working with digital transformation or fintech products is a plus.
