We are seeking an experienced expert in mechanical design for large-scale data centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooling System Design Leadership:
  • Design innovative cooling solutions, including chilled water systems and direct expansion (DX) systems, air and liquid cooling technologies, and alternative methods.
  • Awareness of Industry Standards i.e. ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Carrier Handbooks, IS Standards, Eurovent, AHRI, SMACNA, ASME etc.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of thermal management, HVAC systems, and energy-efficient cooling technologies critical to the operation of hyperscale data centers.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Select and specify cooling equipment, components, and materials, considering energy efficiency, scalability, and system integration.
  • Buffer tank calculation & thermal override calculation
  • Co-ordinating with vendors for product selection and integration of equipment's in overall Master design
  • Preparation of Heat load calculation, Power Usage Effectiveness Calculations (PUE), Technical specifications, schematics for Tendering
  • Preparation of Detailed Design drawings for Tendering purpose
  • Preparation of BOQ, Make List and co-ordinating with Cost Estimation team on cost and work schedule
Skill Set:
  • Proficiency in cooling system design software (e.g., CFD modelling tools, Trane Trace 700, Carrier HAP, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of thermal dynamics, HVAC systems, and environmental control technologies.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (ASHRAE, IEC, LEED, ISO, etc.).
  • Ability to design and implement energy-efficient solutions, with a focus on sustainability and reducing operational costs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Building Services, Energy Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and engineering of cooling systems for large-scale, hyperscale data centers or mission-critical facilities.
