Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a process to harmonize metadata, ensuring data reuse and informing future acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with Global Strategic Sourcing and Cyber Security teams to standardize data contracts, enabling cross-functional data asset reuse.
  • Partner with functional data SMEs to develop internal expertise on external data content, increasing reuse across teams.
  • Work with the Data Engineering team to design data standardization rules, making external data FAIR from inception.
  • Maintain high-quality data, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Data Privacy and Policy team to operationalize data access controls, ensuring compliance and security requirements are met.

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Experience managing external data assets in the life-science industry.
  • Technical data management skills, including in-depth knowledge of Pharma data standards and regulations.
  • Awareness of industry trends and priorities, applying to governance and policies.
  • Experience with data products development life cycle, including enablement of data dictionaries and business glossary.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Ability to execute complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic programming skills, experience in data visualization and data modeling tools.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (team player).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Any degree with 5 - 9 years of experience in Business, Engineering, IT or related field.
