Job Title: Application Packager

Overview:

This role involves system integration across various platforms, including desktop, on and off-prem cloud servers, and AVD technology. The resource will participate in the development of packaging solutions for desktop and server platforms, as well as conversion of legacy applications and utilities using Numecent, MSIX, PSApp Deploy, Ansible, and containerization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing modern packaging solutions
  • Conducting planning, requirements analysis, pre and post-implementation support, and maintenance
  • Developing and executing test plans prior to software deployment
  • Maintaining documentation of all customizations and changes made during the packaging process

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software packaging, application development, and deployment within a physical and virtual environment
  • Strong technical skills in .NET, .BAT, .VBS, WSE, .MSI, .MST, .MSP, SQL Server, APPV, MSIX, Numecent, and similar scripting and database tools
  • Experience with automation scripts, orchestration, and automation processes and products
  • Deep understanding of implementing and supporting application virtualization, streaming, layering, and paging technologies on AVD environments
  • Expertise in application packaging and deploying through Intune Management, application model, and containers
  • In-depth experience of Microsoft Operating Systems (desktop and server)
  • Strong experience in Windows Registry manipulation required
  • Windows troubleshooting skills
