Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Chief Reinsurance Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our reinsurance department, you will work closely with insurance companies and various departments to develop and control reinsurance processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate policies and procedures to cover tasks for placement of reinsurance, claims handling, technical accounting and management reporting
  • Development and succession plan for all members of the reinsurance team
  • Provide reinsurance input for the development of new products or changes to existing products
  • Regular meetings with insurers/reinsures and brokers to build their understanding of the business thus enabling execution of reinsurance on the best terms possible for the company
  • To emphasize strict compliance with, and adherence to Risk, compliance and legal norms
  • To review business performance & profitability via a strong and periodic MIS system
  • To build new business with network of contacts across both General Insurance Companies & Reinsurance Companies

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have 9-12 years of relevant experience in Insurance and Reinsurance Industry. IRDA Certified /Professional Qualification will be an added advantage. You should also possess strong communication, presentation, consultative selling, advising, and negotiation skills, as well as a solid understanding of the Reinsurance market – in India and worldwide.

Estimated Salary:

Rupees Thirty Five Lakhs per annum (Negotiable)
