Job Title: Data Research Analyst

At Forbes Advisor, we're seeking a highly skilled Data Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to inform our editorial content.

Responsibilities:
  • Review editorial data requests for feasibility, usability, and scalability, ensuring that our content meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Leverage a team of researchers to collect product and service data, prepare data, and construct/consolidate new databases, as well as manage existing datasets.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on collected data to identify top-quality financial services and insurance products, providing actionable insights to inform our editorial decisions.
  • Develop and implement processes for quality control, ensuring that our data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with peers to introduce and develop new techniques and processes for efficient data collection and reporting, driving innovation and excellence in our editorial team.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure deadlines and goals are met, working closely with writers, editors, and designers to deliver high-quality content.
  • Review editorial content resulting from work product for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that our content meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data.
  • Comfortable managing your own projects and deliverables, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize projects accordingly, with a strong sense of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct, manipulate, and manage data sets, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Comfortable generating visualizations in Tableau, with a strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Previous experience in a quality role is preferred, but not required.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Tableau, with a strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in using Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulation is desirable, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Databricks is desirable, but not required.
  • Previous experience working with APIs is desirable, but not required.
  • Understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks is a plus, but not required.
Education:

Any degree is acceptable, with a strong emphasis on relevant coursework and experience.
