Job Title: Senior Java Spring Developer

Role Summary:

This role takes the lead in providing complex application development services typically as part of a project team or in an application support role.

">

Developers analyze, design, code, test and implement systematic solutions to meet customer requirements that adhere to Highmark IT standards and policies.

">

Developers provide general support to maintain applications that meet service levels, system availability, performance and quality levels required by their customers.

">

May mentor less experienced team members.

">

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Takes a lead role for analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing application enhancements, as well as providing general production support.">
  • Utilizes the full system development life cycle, per current Highmark SDLC standards.">
  • Collaborates with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions.">
  • Provides required technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 supports when necessary.">
  • Performs work in compliance with all Highmark and Highmark IT standards, policies and procedures.">
  • Participates on project teams in various project roles, including Developer, Technical Lead and Project Manager, based upon level of experience.">
  • Effectively communicates with team members, customers, partners and management.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Candidate with 7 + yrs of experience in Java/Spring development.">
  • Exposure to Microservices architecture with REST API.">
  • Hands on experience in devops tools like Git , Gradle.">
  • Performed design to deployment of a micro services application.">
  • Knowledge on Cloud is added advantage.">
  • Handled NFR( Non Functional Requirements) development.">
  • Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with architects.">
  • Basic knowledge in Python is added advantage.">
  • Performed design patterns for developing web application and hands on integrating the front end/backend applications.">
  • Knowledge on cloud SDK in GCP is preferred.">
  • Experience in GCP tools like Cloud Run , Firestore , App Engine , Cloud function.">
  • Participated in code review,design review for the deliverables from the team.">
  • Experience in analyzing sonarqube static code analysis.">
  • Good to have:
    • Problem solving, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
