As a mechanical designer in electrical systems, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs that integrate seamlessly with electrical components. Your primary focus will be on designing enclosures, busbar supports, frames, and layouts that meet the required safety and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create 2D/3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to ensure precise engineering specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), and UL 67 (Panelboards) while considering IP/NEMA ratings, thermal management, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with electrical designers to provide fully integrated solutions, interpret electrical schematics to ensure proper mechanical/electrical integration, and address thermal management, mechanical strength, structural stability, and vibration.
  • Validate designs for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance, lead assigned design tasks independently, drive design reviews, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering inputs across project phases.

Important Note: This role requires hands-on experience in switchgear/switchboard design; applicants without relevant domain experience will not be considered.
