GIS Infrastructure Specialist

As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing the overall architecture of our High available GIS infrastructure. This includes server deployment, network design, and integration with other business systems.

This position requires a deep understanding of GIS systems and their integration with other IT systems and data sources within the organization. You must be able to work closely with databases, ERP systems, and web services to ensure seamless integration.

Security Design:

In this role, you will design and implement security protocols to protect GIS data and services. This aligns with our organizational IT security standards and ensures that our GIS infrastructure is secure and reliable.

Installation and Configuration:

You will be responsible for the installation of ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and related components. Regular software updates to the latest versions and patches are also essential to ensure security and efficiency.

Performance Monitoring:

Monitoring server performance and undertaking tuning and troubleshooting to optimize the system is a critical aspect of this position.

Collaboration with IT Operations:

Effective collaboration with the IT Operations team is necessary to define all GIS network traffic requirements as it relates to ArcGIS Service needs while maintaining InfoSec policy controls.
