Physical Security Systems Expert

As a skilled system support specialist, you will be responsible for providing second-level support for security systems and access control systems.

You will analyze, debug, and resolve system incidents, alarms, and operational issues, coordinate with onsite teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely problem resolution.

Your key responsibilities will include providing technical support and troubleshooting for security systems and access control systems remotely.

You will assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software enhancements and custom integrations to improve system functionality.

You will implement software upgrades and patches in accordance with company processes and develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures.

You will conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and initiate preventive measures, collaborate with security teams to optimize access control policies, permissions, and workflows within security systems.

You will support integration with third-party security systems (CCTV cameras, Alarm systems, etc.) and IT infrastructure and deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to junior staff or end-users when required.

This role requires a strong understanding of physical security systems, integration capabilities, and excellent analytical skills to improve system performance and support operational security needs.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of hands-on experience with security system support, maintenance, and enhancements, a good understanding of access control concepts, physical security principles, and industry standards.

The candidate will also have experience with system integration, IP network protocols, and common security hardware (readers, controllers, locks), strong knowledge of SQL and database management related to security platforms, and proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, C#, or .NET for automation and customization.

The ability to work effectively in a remote/offshore environment and coordinate with global teams is essential, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
