Job Title: Chief Data Governance Officer

Chief Data Governance Officers play a vital role in shaping an organization's data management strategy. They oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards for data quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive data quality strategies aligned with organizational objectives.\
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure accurate, complete, consistent, and timely data.\
  • Profile and analyze data across systems to identify issues related to accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.\
  • Establish and maintain data quality metrics and benchmarks to measure performance.\
  • Collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders to define and develop solutions that meet business needs.\
  • Provide guidance on data governance best practices and ensure team professional development.\
  • Lead and mentor teams of data quality analysts or engineers.\
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality procedures, processes, and standards.\
  • Provide training to teams involved in data-related activities to promote a data quality mindset.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in data governance and quality assurance.\
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.\
  • Experience in SQL injection, query performance (Athena), Machine Learning.\
  • CI/CD, bit bucket/git knowledge.\
  • Familiarity with online retail (e-commerce).\
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve data quality issues.\
  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire teams focused on data quality.\
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse/Data Lake Architecture and Development.\
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.\
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of data quality initiatives.
