Business Assurance Leader

We are seeking a Business Assurance leader to provide assurance coverage for business processes in the Institutional Securities business. This role focuses on Investment Banking Division and Global Capital Markets.


This position is within the audit family responsible for inspecting controls in front, middle, and back offices. Our Business Assurance team provides senior management with an objective and independent assessment of the Firm's internal control environment for risk management and governance.


The ideal candidate will have expertise in Investment banking and capital markets business within Financial Services sector. They should also possess strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes.


This role requires the ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view. The candidate must be able to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints, and adapt messaging accordingly.


Key Responsibilities
  • Identify risk and impact to Investment Banking and Capital Market business areas to prioritize focus.
  • Execute and lead aspects of assurance activities within designated coverage to assess risk and formulate a view on the control environment.
  • Facilitate conversations with stakeholders on risks, their impact, and how well they are managed in a clear, timely, and structured manner.

Requirements
  • Understanding of Investment banking and capital markets business within Financial Services sector.
  • Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view.
  • Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints, and adapt messaging accordingly.
