Job Title: Manufacturing Execution System Specialist

Job Description

The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing software systems. This position requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution:
  • Identify and resolve issues with MES software and hardware to maintain uninterrupted production operations.
  • System Maintenance and Optimization:
  • Monitor system performance, implement updates, and make necessary adjustments to optimize MES for efficiency and quality.
  • Implementation and Configuration:
  • Assist in implementing and configuring new MES systems and integrate them with other enterprise systems like ERP.
  • Data Management and Analysis:
  • Collect and analyze real-time data from the shop floor to identify bottlenecks, track production, and improve decision-making.
  • User Support and Training:
  • Provide technical assistance to production staff and develop training materials to help them use MES effectively.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and user guides, for MES.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure MES supports quality management by tracking deviations and exceptions, contributing to improved quality control.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with MES software, understanding of databases, and familiarity with system integration.
  • Manufacturing Processes:
  • A solid understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle, from order release to finished goods, and common production challenges.
  • Data Analysis:
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and use data to drive improvements in production.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication:
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with production teams and provide training.
