Job Overview

This is a high-level finance position that combines financial management with analytical skills. It involves overseeing the financial function for an Indian subsidiary and acting as an analyst for UK and International Commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute audits of internal financial controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage all accounting-related issues, including statutory audit, revenue audit, preparation of TDS returns, and income tax returns.
  • Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide financial reporting and budgeting services to the management team.
  • Review company financial reports and identify opportunities to reduce costs and manage budgets effectively.
  • Control income, cash flow, and expenditure.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize financial risk.
Commercial Analysis

The successful candidate will also perform commercial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for both the Indian business and the wider UK/International business.

  • Analyse daily sales data and create/maintain financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Represent Finance within the UK Commercial team to ensure that business planning, accounting, and control are integrated into the decision-making process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • International company experience.
  • Management experience, including liaison with senior management, auditors, suppliers, banks, insurance providers, contractors, etc.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Self-disciplined, results-focused, with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and CRM systems.
